Pregnancy Tests

If you are at least a day late for your period and are wondering if you are pregnant, call us for a free, confidential pregnancy test. It is best to have an appointment, but walk-ins are welcome Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 – 3. You may have to wait for an open time slot.

Ultrasounds

If you have had a positive pregnancy test and are between 9 and 18 weeks pregnant, we can offer you an ultrasound. It is possible to have a positive pregnancy test and not be pregnant. An ultrasound is the best way to confirm a pregnancy.

Options Counseling

Once your pregnancy has been confirmed, we offer help with sorting through the many emotions that come with pregnancy, especially an unplanned pregnancy. It is our mission to present the life-affirming choices available to you and be sure that you have all the information needed to make the best decision for you and your baby. North Side Life Care Center does not do abortions or refer for abortions. The information on this website is intended for general educational purposes and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical services.

Prenatal Care

Midwives from Fairview Riverside Women’s Clinic offer prenatal care at North Side Life Care Center. You must either have medical insurance or be eligible for Medical Assistance. We can help you with the Medical Assistance application.

Baby Equipment

Through the Small Steps Incentive Program you can earn “Baby Bucks” and redeem them for cribs, car seats, layettes and other baby items from us. You do this by meeting with a counselor, setting goals and completing steps to reach your goals.

Material Assistance

You may come by appointment to get gently used clothes, diapers and formula. Supplies may be limited.

Referrals

We provide resource lists for a variety of needs: housing, child care assistance, clothes closets, rental assistance, adoption, WIC, GED etc. We do not offer referrals for abortions.
